Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This page lists the cookies and similar technologies used by the site, what they are for and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a site saves in the browser of whoever visits it. They make the pages work, remember a choice or, in other cases, follow a person from one site to another to show them ads.
What we use on this site
This site is made of static pages and does not need cookies to work. We do not install profiling cookies and we do not run ads. We count visits with a tool of our own, which only produces aggregate statistics.
- Technical cookies
- Cloudflare, __cf_bm, 30 minutes
- Statistics
- TrackTeo, teo_v, 13 months
- Profiling and advertising
- None
The technical cookies are set by Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts and protects the site: they tell human traffic from automated traffic.
Some pages remember a small preference in your browser, for example a form left half-filled. The data stays on your device and never reaches us.
For technical cookies and aggregate statistics the law does not require prior consent: that is why the site does not show you a banner.
Visit statistics
To understand which pages are useful and where the site can improve, we use TrackTeo, a statistics tool we built ourselves that runs on Cloudflare servers. The data are stored in the European Union and are used only to produce aggregate statistics about this site: which pages are visited, in what order, how far they are read, which buttons are used.
- teo_v
- First-party cookie, 13 months from the last visit. A random code, the date of the first visit and the number of visits: it lets us count returning visits.
- teo_s
- Browser storage, until the tab is closed. It keeps the pages of the same visit in order.
- teo_no
- First-party cookie, 13 months. It is set only if you turn off the statistics with the button below, and it remembers your choice.
Besides the pages, we record the source of the visit (for example a search engine), the device type (phone or computer) and the country. We do not keep IP addresses, browser data or text typed into forms. The data are not shared with third parties or used for advertising or profiling, and they are deleted after 13 months. For this reason, under the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021, these tools are treated as technical cookies and do not require consent.
If you do not want to be counted in the statistics, you can turn them off in this browser:
Content from other services
The site does not embed videos, maps or widgets hosted elsewhere, so no other service can install cookies while you visit it. If one day we add one, we will update this page, name the provider and ask for your consent before loading the content.
How to manage them from your browser
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings, usually in the section for privacy and site data. If you block all cookies, some features of the site may stop behaving as expected.
The exact steps are in the documentation of the browser you use: Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a page on managing cookies.
Personal data and cookies
Cloudflare’s technical cookies process an IP address, which is personal data. The rules we apply, your rights and how to exercise them are in the Privacy Policy.
